Lady Terriers Soccer Keeps the Ball Rolling

The Boston University women’s soccer team keeps on rolling as they defeated the University of Vermont by a score of 4-0 to extend their winning streak to six games.
Four different Lady Terriers put the ball in the back of the net in BU’s victory: Shauna Kelleher, Emily Pallotta, Megan McGoldrick, and Tia Gallegos. The Terriers’ records improved to 8-4-2, and have a perfect conference record 4-0.
How good are the Terriers? Besides leading the America East conference in goals (20), their defense has been spectacular. The Terriers have only allowed eleven goals all season.
However, the real test will be how the Terriers face against Albany on Sunday. BU is very comfortable at Nickerson Field posting a 6-0 home record. Sunday’s game is in Albany, and will start a two game road trip. After Albany the Terriers will travel to Long Island to face the Stony Brook Seawolves.
The Terriers should be fine whether home or away, as they have won 20 consecutive games against in conference teams spanning over the last three seasons.
The Terriers also have a loaded offense. In the last four games nine different Terriers have scored a goal. If that isn’t enough senior Emily Pallotta seems to be able to handle the workload by herself. She’s scored four goals since the beginning of America East conference play.
The BU defense has been no slouch either. Headed by goal keeper Janie Reilly, the Terrier have seven shutouts on the year, and have only allowed two goals in conference play, both to the University of Maine.
After the Terriers three game road-trip they’ll finish up with a three game home stand, before the America East Quarter finals.
