Tale of Tales’s Beautifully-Made “The Graveyard” Available For Free Today Only

Video games often come under extreme criticism for lacking the artistic and intelligent ambitions that literature or film can bring to a narrative. The reality is actually that such games do exist (in fact, if you know where to look they’re quite common), but are simply overshadowed by big-budget action titles or standard sequel fare. Such is the sad fate of The Graveyard, a ten-minute long experimental video game that is a sad, artful examination of death. In celebration of All Souls’ Day today, Tale of Tales is offering the game up for free.

This game literally takes only a few minutes to complete, takes up very little computer space, and I very much promise you is quite unlike any other game you’ve every played. All skeptics should at least check it out to see that there are in fact developers out there that are willing to spend their money to create something so unconventional it’s unlikely to ever garner much attention.

Download it here for Mac and PC. And remember, this is for November 2 only so hurry!

I can at least promise it’s better than Baby & Me
