I think women should pay for the pill. After all, they get all the benefits of depression, weight gain, being attracted to effeminate men, breast cancer, cervical cancer, infertility when they're "ready for kids," and perpetually functioning under hormones that tell them they're pregnant. Not to mention they've devolved to little more than sexual objects since the pill became a widely trusted and effective contraceptive in the 60s.

I have also found SHS to be really helpful about birth control. I use the NuvaRing which racks up to $60 at CVS since my insurance sucks, but my preferred nurse at SHS has no problem giving me four or five samples of it if I visit every once in awhile. The female nurses are pretty great about, but then again they're the only ones I've ever asked about birth control.

I'd also suggest using a condom frequently, even with birth control and in a steady relationship. You should always be protecting yourself, be it STDS, pregnancy, or potentially cheating boyfriends.
