91 Bay State Road

Rooms Available: Four-person and five-person suite-style rooms with two doubles or a double and a triple. A few private doubles are also available.

Claim to Fame: Playwright Eugene O’Neill died in Suite 401.

Superlatives: Most Sophisticated

Most Claustrophobic Elevators

Although StuVi may be new and fancy, Shelton is old money and old glamour — it was one of the first Sheraton hotels ever built. Bathrooms are attached to each suite and there is a gorgeous study hall on the top floor. The dining hall is small, but still has a good variety of food and does not get too crowded. The floors are a mix of years, but houses mostly sophomores and juniors, and the friendliness varies.
