Fashion Flash: Lights On, Gaga for Glasses, Movie Models

Ever want to light up a room?  Just look to Jimmy Choo, who brings this common saying to life in his brightest shoe to date.  The strappy 5-inch heel features a built-in light bulb that shines with every step, guaranteed to guide you through the depths of night or whatever other endeavors your glowing heart desires.  The shoes have done nothing but dazzle, as the Manhattan stores have sold out of the style and a massive waiting list stands in the way of anyone trying to purchase online.  Luminosity comes at a price$2,495— but at least you can save on bike reflectors?

Lady Gaga is never to be found without an extreme accessory, and rumor has it that she doesn’t want you to, either.  The pop sensation may be planning a line of sunglasses with Linda Farrow.  The London label is not blind to the concept, considering its past creations for brands like Alexander Wang, Dries Van Noten,

The Row and Matthew Williamson.  The collection has not yet been confirmed, so until then live vicariously through caution tape bodysuits and fire-spitting bustiers.

The occasional supermodel emergence from glossy page to high-definition blockbuster may not be new (think Gemma Ward in The Strangers or Lily Cole in Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus), but what about two?  Louis Leterier’s action-packed Clash of the Titans features Natalia Vodianova as Medusa and Agyness Deyn as Aphrodite.  Warner Brothers has neither commented nor capitalized on the film’s model mix, but I’m willing to bet the fashion world won’t be so hushed.  A celestial editorial shoot to coincide with the movie premiere, perhaps? I pray to Zeus.
