Local Musician Leo Blais, Back from Five-Week Tour

Leo Blais, a local acoustic musician from Lowell, Massachusetts, played his first show in Boston last night since touring for five weeks to South by Southwest Music Festival and back. The musician opened for Brooke Waggoner and Rocky Votolato to a full crowd at the Allston venue. The musician wove stories about his songs and memories from the road into the opening set, which was full of energy and charm. Blais sometimes plays with an entire backing band, however this was not necessary last night, as his solo performance was enough to showcase his resonant voice and artful storytelling.
