BU TweetCreep January 19th – January 25th

Hello BU brethren! Welcome back. How was your break?

…hmmm, no response? If only there were some way for us all to communicate in real time in quick spurts (not gonna link that to an image) of witty brilliance that would accommodate our ever-shortening attention spans. Oh wait, the blue bird. STUPID, Ari, stupid.

These past few days have been ripe with new beginnings. One black man passed on the torch to another black man. Meanwhile, this black man honored this black man. And this blog writer who doesn’t understand the black experience passed his duties onto another Jewish white male. The whole time, everyone else stayed inside because the flu was out robbing people while the BUPD fought the good fight.

But let’s get to business: What’s going on in the Twittersphere?

Hey Freepies, why not get your own photos? I’m tired of journalists getting their content from others for free. That’s why I do this Twitter blog.

Now, here are some real journalists:

Thanks for the heads up, BUNS! I’m surprised so many people showed up. I mean, its just the second time a black man was elected president. Now, if it had been that first guy, there would have been much more draw.

I’m sure I can speak for all of us, though, when I say the real reason why I wasn’t there: it was MLK Day and I was doing community service. Right, guys? Right? We were all doing community service and certainly not sitting on the couch thinking of annoying apps we could make, like one that would make your phone say a different number than the digit you dialed, called “Misnumber” (get it? “Misnomer” but with “number”). I certainly wasn’t doing that. I was definitely doing community service…

Seriously though, BUNS did some great coverage of the inauguration. But while they were interviewing “climate change fear-mongerer” Bill Nye, they missed the real story: IT’S COLD!!!!!!!

Thanks, Daniela. Give Santa a break, though. He just finished the busiest work month of his year, and I hear he and Mrs. Claus are on the outs. If he wants take a trip to the Caribbean, let him. Plus, his workshop would never be profitable here in “Taxachusetts” especially when surrounded by a bunch of dirty, God-hating liberals who don’t believe in joy.

Phew! At least I know I’m safe. I’ve been coughing in all of Starbucks’ coffee sleeves.

Thats good to hear–WAIT! What are you doing on your phone at FitRec?! You could have been taking pictures of anything. I hope you didn’t get one of me having a stare down with a weight. It was telling me some really heavy stuff (you’re welcome).

About Ari Stern

I am a BA/MA student at Boston University studying Energy and Environmental Analysis. When not thinking about the Earth's impending doom, I like to distract myself with comedy. I am the president/director of Boston University's improv group Liquid Fun. Every Saturday night, I perform as a cast member of Improv Boston's Face Off. I also won BU's funniest student viewers choice in 2010 and still tell people about it (at least I'm not as bad as PBR who still boasts about their blue ribbon from 1893). Finally, if you love puppies, we've got something in common.

  1. OH no, as a reader of the tweet creep for a couple of years since it started the decline is, well, constant. It’s getting away from what I believe it was intended for to posting friend’s tweets and commenting on them, and not commenting in a funny way either. It’s time to start over.
