In a tweet just four hours prior to her anticipated Boston “surprise,” Ellen DeGeneres challenged Bostonians to compete for their prize: dress up like the green monster with red socks and head to Marsh Plaza for a chance to win World Series Championship tickets. Although the talk show host didn’t physically grace BU’s campus, she Skyped into Marsh Plaza and got the crowd going in an impromptu Red Sox-themed pep rally. Winners are expected to be announced on the October 23rd Ellen Show, but more than just those few joined in on the fun. These are their stories.
