BU’s Back Bay Ball Turns 25

One of the most pleasant aspects of attending an “older” university is participating in the university’s traditions. One week from today, one of Boston University’s annual, traditional events turns 25.

Programming Council will host the 25th Annual Back Bay Ball at the Westin Copley Hotel on Saturday, February 27 at 9 p.m.  The night is titled the “silver year” of Back Bay Ball and will include one of the largest dance parties BU has ever hosted.

The group is transforming the ballroom of the hotel into a dance floor of “epic proportions,” with decadent appetizers and a cash bar for students 21 and older. There will be a complimentary shuttle provided to transport students back to campus at the end of the night, which is extremely nice because we all know the T doesn’t run til 1 a.m.

Students can buy tickets at the second-floor GSU Info Desk (convenience points are accepted). Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Non-BU guests can also attend for $25. BU students are allowed to have two guests that must be signed in.

Programming Council is also offering a discount on Back Bay Ball tickets to groups of ten or more BU students (on-campus clubs and groups beware)! Email bupc@bu.edu for more information.
