BU in Sydney: Learning Abroad

Field Trips make me feel like a kid again!

Since I’ve settled into my Sydney lifestyle, learning and researching at BUSC has become a regular fixture of my day. I spend about 16 hours per week in class, and countless more keeping up with both my homework and affairs in the US and around the world. I’ve decided to live Urban Amish at my room in the Unilodge, choosing to forego the optional internet in my room and save myself at least $30 a month in expenses. So, my connection to my educational life and the world outside Sydney is all centralized in one building.

Fortunately, I don’t actually have to spend all of my time indoors. My professors are really keen on allowing us to explore what Sydney and the New South Wales area have to offer, conducting plenty of field trips to keep my minuscule attention span occupied. Below is a video of a few of my educational adventures:

I’m so glad I don’t have to spend all my time in a stuffy room, and that learning here can actually be fun! Of course, there are more sites to see, and I can’t wait to see how my life abroad affects my life in the classroom and beyond.
