Local Band Pretty & Nice Plays with D.C.’s Title Tracks this Friday at Mideast

Sometimes I wish I could have the opportunity to go to shows earlier on Fridays and then go out afterwards…I rarely seem to have the energy to go out after the typical show ends around 1 a.m. This Friday, I’m in that particular predicament and luckily there’s a show that’s meeting my needs!

The local band Pretty & Nice is wrapping up their east coast tour on Friday at The Middle East with Title Tracks, a band from D.C. led by Q and Not U’s drummer, John Davis. The show will also host Baltimore’s Gary B and the Notions.

Title Tracks is a new endeavor of Davis’. The musician writes and records the music and then takes a full band to tour on the road. The group has a poppy indie-rock sound…they’re definitely worth checking out if you’re a Q and Not U fan.

Their latest album, “It Was Easy” was just released February 9.  The collection includes nine original songs and two covers (Bruce Springsteen’s “Tougher Than The Rest” and The Byrds’ “She Don’t Care About Time”). Listen to their band’s Myspace here.
