The fashion world is up in arms this morning as British designer Alexander McQueen, known by his lavish and unconventional runway shows, was found dead at his London home. Details are still sketchy as to the circumstances surrounding his death, but police say the death is not being treated as suspicious. McQueen was 40 years old.
McQeen won the British fashion designer of the year award on four separate occasions as well as the CBE and was also named International Designer of the Year at the Council of Fashion Designer Awards.
His designs are currently most visible on style icons Rihanna and Lady Gaga, who frequently features Alexander McQueen pieces in her music videos.
