Boston University is a school of acronyms through and through. You can eat dinner at the GSU and then go to an event hosted by PC or SAO, enjoy FYSOP through the CSC, and then head to PR classes at COM or IR classes at CAS.

This infographic describes the many and nuanced abbreviations that will pop up into your vocabulary like flu viruses in SHS.

Unfortunately, what it doesn’t dictate is which acronyms you pronounce like words (COM, SHA, FYSOP, StuVi) like letters (SMG, GSU, CAS, DOS) or either (BUS). That, you have to learn on your own.

Are you serious? Of all the things you could come up with you decided to talk about someone in a disgusting, degrading manner?

Wish this was there when I went. They had changed CLA (College of Liberal Arts) to CAS during my time and I still couldn’t get used to CLA.
