DANIELSEN HALL

512 Beacon St.

Rooms Available: Singles, doubles, triples (some have private bathrooms; some share one in a suite)

Claim to Fame: Being on the Eastern frontier of campus

Theme Song: These Boots Are Made For Walking by Nancy Sinatra

Superlatives: Most Unique

The first thing that comes to mind about Danielsen is that it’s far. So far that it’s not on some BU maps. But, residents say that it’s not that bad once you get used to it and if you make the BUS (which stops in front of Danielsen) your best friend. A bonus to being so far removed from campus is that you’re closer to the city — including Newbury St.

Rumor has it that the dorm was designed to prevent riots, so the hallways are filled with sharp turns and are difficult to navigate, making it more difficult to become friendly with hallmates. The rooms are pretty large and there is a kitchen in the basement if you don’t feel like heading to Myles for dinner.
